In April, we realized that producing a sibling for Jonah was taking longer than expected. Upon a doctor’s referral we began to see a reproductive specialist. After tests, it was determined that, although nothing is wrong physically, having a second child is statistically impossible. After trying several medical procedures in an attempt to “beat the odds,” it would seem that, short of Divine intervention, Jonah might be the only “junior” Procuniar in Bellbrook. We thank God for His providence in gifting such a blessing as Jonah—and move on with eager anticipation to what God has in store for our family.
This past September, Ben was promoted to Software Director at DRS. He now manages four sites regionally: Ohio, New York, New Hampshire, & Pennsylvania. It was quite an honor to be chosen for this promotion. Like any promotion, it is not without its headaches. Being regional director means Ben travels more—a must given that he now has direct reports at each location. We are thankful that God provides for every need & know His Strength is Perfect.
For some, Christmas is a “season of Light” while others see it as a “season of Darkness.” We hope those of you that find Christmas as a season of Darkness discover the Light of the World.
“In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men. The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.” John 1:4&5
In addition to a weekly playgroup, Jonah had four summer companions that he still talks about: 4 big brothers; AIA baseball players from all over the country! Caleb, James, Kenneth, & Matt stayed with us for 10 weeks this summer and Jonah loved every minute of their attention. The boys spent many hours playing with Jonah—when they weren’t playing ball, sleeping, traveling, working out, eating, helping out in the church community or swimming in the backyard pool (with Jonah)! It was a busy summer—and one the whole family will remember with fond memories.
